EDUCATION COMMITTEE

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the East Texas Gulf Coast Regional Trauma Advisory Council – Education Committee is to share medical knowledge and practices with all pre-hospital and hospital providers. The Education Committee embraces the belief that "excellent patient care is through education, training, and experiences."

ANNOUNCEMENTS

• THANK YOU to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas for hosting the January 17, 2008 EAMC class. It was a good turn out with 12 participants. Special thanks to Cheryl Hobbs for preparing the class. The facility at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas was very accommodating with exceptional audio/video equipment as well as usage of space.posted 01/17/2008
  
  
• The FIRST Emergency Airway Management Course (EAMC) was offered and hosted by Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital on June 30, 2007. Though many did not showup due to weather condition and distance, enough were present to allow the team to have a "dry" run. We've identified some minor typos as well as time allotted issues that has since been corrected. posted 9/23/2007
  
  
• Upcoming classes are posted below in the "Calendar of Events"
  • Pre-registration and pre-pay is required to secure a seat for the class.
  • Registration form must be completed and submitted to RAC-R, additional instructions can be found on the registration form.
  • Each class is limited to 20 students only, enabling us to have a 5 students to 1 instructor ratio.
  • There is a non-refundable fee $25.00 per student. This minimal fee covers refreshments and lunch.
  
  
• This course is being taught by dedicated professionals who have given their time to present the course.
• Please be sure to print your copy of the EAMC Student Manual, which can be found in the FORMS section of this webpage.
