Framework for Action

Injury Prevention Committee

Purpose
1. To improve public awareness of injury prevention
2. To provide a forum to collaborate among RAC members and others regarding injury prevention
3. To become a resource for injury prevention, information, education, programs and research

Goals
1. To be aware of all injury prevention programs in TSA-R. Review injury prevention strategies and make recommendations to the Board of Directors and General Assembly for increasing injury prevention programs in TSA-R
2. To coordinate all injury prevention programs in TSA-R

Objectives

1. Short Term (within one year)

a. Begin the process to identify the functional & operational requirements for a TSA-R Regional Registry
b. Establish a working draft of the TSA-R Injury Prevention Plan
c. Identification of current injury prevention programs and providers for inclusion in a web-based resource guide

2. Medium Term (within 3 years)

a. Establish TSA-R Regional Registry
b. Identify standardized data retrieval process

3. Long term ( within 5 years)

a. Utilization of TSA-R Regional Registry database for ongoing program planning, development, and outcome evaluations
